Talab's books are quite inspiring. I end up reading "Fooled by Randomness," "Black Swan," and "Skin in the Game."

All excellent books but I'd say "Skin in the Game" was my favorite.

Oh, yes, people tend to focus too much on black swans. It's the survival instinct. But even the fact that we are alive is already a black swan.

Maybe this is an interesting topic. How striking certain positive black swans can give you protection against negative black swans. Exploring something like this:

Resilience = ∑(Positive Black Swans) × Preparedness - ∑(Negative Black Swans) × Vulnerability
