To be honest the tulip comparation is pretty bad.... especially when you do have a real use case, a technology that allows you to make a payment in a decentralized manner without the need of a middleman, with very low fees, and it can also be a reserve of value.
Yes, there's speculation and volatility but for many people in the world is better to be exposed to some volatility than be exposed to hyper-inflation.
BTW, in 2017 there were many people calling it a "Tulip bubble". I wonder what those people would say now.
