I'm not contradicting myself at all and I actually even agree with what you wrote.

There are multiple applications for ERC721 and ERC1155 but at the end, these are just certificates of ownership. They don't hold value by themselves.

What holds value is whatever is the asset that the token represents. Or are you going to tell me that all the 19 Million NFTs on OpenSea have value?
